This privacy policy applies to the Pin app for macOS (the "Application") created by Florian Schuster (the "Developer").
Pin does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The Application runs entirely on your device and makes zero network requests. There are no servers, no analytics, no telemetry, and no crash reporting.
When you use Pin, it reads the currently selected text from the active application using the macOS Accessibility API. If that is not available, it can use a clipboard-based fallback that briefly copies the selection to the system clipboard. The text is processed on your device and is never stored, logged, or transmitted. When the clipboard fallback is used, Pin attempts to restore your previous clipboard contents right after capture, but if the clipboard changes during the capture window, restoration may not occur.
Pin requires the macOS Accessibility permission to read selected text from other applications. This permission is granted through System Settings and can be revoked at any time. No other permissions are required.
Pin has zero third-party dependencies and integrates with no external services.
Since Pin does not collect any data, there are no concerns regarding children's privacy.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
